Cora Grace Stuteville
THESE ARE BOTH MY NIECES!! They were both born on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 in totally different circumstances.
Juliet was born to my brother Bennett and sister-in-law Jen. She went into labor- the day before her scheduled c-section- and at 2am Tuesday morning, I was called over to sleep over at their house to stay with the 3 sleeping kids. Only TWO HOURS LATER Juliet was born! Then around 4:30pm that same day, I got a call from my sister Lila and her first words were, "How would you like to have 2 nieces born today?" Eeeeeeee!!! Unbelievable! Lila had just started the process to adopt her second child and then out of nowhere received a call from a friend in Sacramento, CA that a woman the friend knows had given birth to a baby girl that morning and had asked if she knew anyone who would want to adopt her! Well YES! So basically my sister frantically got everything together, including her 17 month old son, and flew from Nashville, Tennessee to Sacramento to meet her surprise daughter and make everything official :)
So cool. I can't believe how everything worked out like this. Soon after talking to Lila on the girls' birthday I went to go meet/visit Juliet and her parents for at the hospital and brought up the crazy news. Ben and Jen were are very happy to have a same-age cousin for their baby girl. Haha, they couldn't be MORE "same-age". They're only 4 hours apart. Anyway I'm so excited to meet Cora because she's still in Sacramento- but the Stuteville family will be making their way down here pretty soon :) Oh and I think I'm even more excited to just see those two little bundles of joy placed next to each other so I can take a million pictures :D
(Here's Lila's blog if you want to hear more about her experience http://michaelandlila.blogspot.com/ )
