Ashley was experiencing name envy.

I found a relative on Facebook from my mom's side of the family, and became jealous that my last name isn't my mom's maiden name, like hers is. Holmstrom. It's so Swedish! But then I thought about it... and I realized if I were Ashley Holmstrom I'd probably be bummed I didn't have that super weird German last name from my dad's side...

Everyone loves to say Wutkee! It would be a shame for people all over the place to never have been able to call me (and a million of my family members) "Wutkee," as a substitute for my first name.

Here's to heritage, and funky, meaningful last names.
